    Description

    Duties and Responsibilities:


    Reporting to the Director and under the immediate supervision of the School Administrator, the MA Recruitment and Program Administrator is responsible for outreach and recruitment for, and a variety of duties related to the administration of, the Master's Program.


    Main duties and responsibilities include:

    • Assists the Associate Director (MA Program) with outreach and recruitment for the MA program;
    • Event planning and coordination, including those related to outreach and recruitment for the MA program; and
    • Supports the large number of applicants and students by assisting with the admissions cycle, in-program student administrative support, funding and graduation requirements;
    • Shares administrative responsibilities, including reception duties and completes other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:



    The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

    • Experience developing, coordinating and evaluating student engagement and outreach for recruitment programs,
    • In-depth experience calculating GPAs, reviewing transcripts and processing graduate applications,
    • Demonstrated ability to review, interrupt and stay current with academic policies, procedures and processes,
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and plan events and special programs with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all logistics are planned and coordinated without issue,
    • Demonstrated experience working with digital communication platforms, including mass emails, website and social media,
    • Due to the large number of applications, excellent organizational and planning skills are required, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and work calmly when under pressure, while successfully paying attention to detail,
    • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with limited supervision, with excellent initiative, strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills,
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capability to work with tact, confidentially and sensitivity, including cultural competencies,
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills,
    • Excellent computer skills including expertise in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, Wordpress, and MS PowerPoint; software database systems and custom software such as Banner (others).

    Education and Experience:


    The above is normally acquired through the completion of:


    • Requires the successful completion of a three-year undergraduate university degree.
    • Three years of related administrative and academic experience, including at least one year of experience supporting graduate recruitment, admissions, advising and graduation processes and event planning.
