Role Summary

The Purchasing Manager at Massiv Die-Form is responsible to oversee all Purchasing operations in addition to Shipping/Receiving.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for smooth running of all Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, Toolcrib and Uniform Crib functions.

• Develop and maintain Purchasing Department policies and procedures to meet established quality standards as outlined in Assembly & Tooling Operating System Manual (4.6).

• Negotiate with vendors for best possible price, quality & service.

• Ensure that all Engineering/Customer requirements are met as per bill of materials.

• Ensure that all back orders are monitored and expedited.

• Ensure all quality records (e.g. purchase orders, bill of materials, receiving records) are maintained.

• Supervise, monitor performance and conduct wage reviews for Receiver, Tool Crib Attendants, Assistant Purchasing Agent, Uniform Crib Attendant.

• Ensure employee development, teamwork, quality work environment through regular meetings/ feedback, training, appraisals and maintenance of open communication.

• Follow up, respond, resolve or refer employees to appropriate personnel for inquiries/concern resolution.

• Maintain knowledge of current safety regulations and custom excise laws.

• Maintain departmental measurable and initiate actions to reach business plan targets.

• Responsible for applicable QEMS policies, procedures and work instructions

• Required to train employees on policies, procedures & work instructions applicable to work area according to QEMS

• Perform any other reasonable duties as required or assigned.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• 10 Years or more previous purchasing experience, preferably in automotive industry.

• Excellent communication, organizational and negotiation skills.

• PMAC Diploma or equivalent courses.

• Supervisory skills.
