    Description

    Put your high-volume payroll skills to use in this fast-paced opening with our client, a Canadian-owned mechanical contractor based in Port Coquitlam.

    Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this position is responsible for processing hourly and salary payroll for union and non-union employees across multiple provinces.

    Great tech skills and the ability to learn quickly are a must, as you will also be involved in the implementation of the company's new payroll system.

    You will also receive great benefits including health, dental and vision coverage, RRSP matching and 3 weeks of vacation to start.

    Validate time reports, audit pay rate exceptions and allocate job costing
    Process payroll and post general ledgers
    Perform benefits administration and payroll reporting
    Payroll reporting
    Prepare and reconcile union dues, fringe benefit remittances, payroll taxes, WCB and EHT payments
    Other payroll duties as needed
    1-3 years of full-cycle payroll experience in a high-volume payroll environment
    ~ PCP certified or pursuing certification is an asset
    ~ Unionized payroll experience is an asset
    ~ Strong computer proficiency including advanced Excel skills and experience with payroll systems (ADP WFN preferred)
