    What is the opportunity? The RBC Dominion Securities Management Team located in Ottawa Preston is looking for a Branch Operations Manager to join their dynamic leadership team The Branch Operations Manager is a key leadership role in the branch working closely with Brach Director and responsible for leading Associates team, working with Investment Advisor Teams to ensure they have right talent and skill set to support growth, collaborating with partners across RBC enterprise and work with community leaders to implement RBC DS strategic priorities. In addition to leading and coaching team of Associates and Assistants, managing client account activities and ensuring compliance standards are met, the Branch Operations Manager fulfils a diverse role which includes liaising with internal departments, providing software and process-related training, and managing the branch facilities and equipment. What will you do?
  • Implement Branch Director's vision and ensure branch is efficiently and effectively managed.
  • Developing and coaching Associates and Assistants
  • Instrumental in managing the daily HR, administrative operations of the branch including approval of incoming and outgoing daily transactions, verify and action request submitted by sales support staff, verify documentation and approve account openings, etc.
  • As part of Leadership team organize community support events and staff events to support culture of collaboration, growth and learning
  • Assist with training new branch support staff and coordinate ongoing training initiatives for existing branch staff.
  • Ensure compliance and internal control requirements are met.

  • Experience coaching, managing, and developing employees, ideally within a customer focused environment
  • Business acumen and proven ability to lead successfully diverse teams
  • Sales experience and deep understanding on how to coach to high performing culture.
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A professional approach to all situations to create a positive working environment
  • Ability to complete duties independently seeking out own answers and solutions
    • Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities' systems and procedures, an asset
  • Experience in the securities industry is an asset
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH), or willingness to complete within 6-8 months
