Our client, a reputable and boutique Canadian law firm, is seeking an organized and eager Accounting Assistant to provide high-level accounting and payroll support to its growing team.

    What's In It For You

    In addition to an annual salary in the $42-46K range, you will be eligible for the company's comprehensive benefits including medical and dental coverage, life insurance and RRSP contributions (eligible for up to 4% matching after 6 months of employment).

    What You'll Do

    • Provide accounts payable and trust accounting support
    • Assist with billing, accounts receivables and bank deposits
    • Oversee monthly accounting duties including tax remittances and financial reporting
    • Assist with audits and independent reviews
    • Assist with payroll processing, maintain payroll records and reports
    • Other accounting and payroll support duties as needed

    What You Bring

    • At least 1 year of general accounting experience
    • Familiarity with payroll processes
    • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel)
    • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Great organizational skills
