    Milk Receiver


    Type:

    TEMP TO PERM
    Salary: 20/HR

    Address Mississauga, ON (Derry and Kennedy)
    Hours - Morning (4:00 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (12:30 pm to 10:00 pm) MUST be Flexible for both shifts


    NO STUDENTS
    Crim Check required


    Once hired:

    Responsibilities


    • Pump incoming milk from tank truck to storage tank, and compute and record volume of milk or cream received.
    • Break the seal of the tank: Dip and pour sample of milk from vent hole of truck into bottle for laboratory analysis.
    • Take temperature of milk, record data and temperature reading.
    • Transfer milk to storage tank, read milk flow meter, and record volume pumped on record sheet.
    • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.
    • Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.
    • Setting up the desired temperature of the storage tank until milk is further processed.
    • Pasteurizing the milk as and when required following SOP's.
    • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
    • Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
    • Responsible for pre-operational and post-operational CIP and manual cleaning of the Lines, Jumpers, pumps, etc.
    • Support internal and external audits.
    • Comply with federal, provincial or local dairy food regulations.
    Any other Duties as assigned by the Management, Production Supervisor.
