    MD Financial Management, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, has an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Associate Financial Consultant – Digital Channels to join our team.
    Reporting to the Manager, Client Services & Trade Centre, as an Associate Financial Consultant – Digital Channels, you will be responsible for helping MD's clients achieve their financial goals through an understanding of their personal and professional objectives, recommendation of MD products tailored to their specific needs, and the provision of timely and exemplary service.

    Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • You will build rapport and trusted relationships with MD clients through active listening and by developing an appreciation of what's important to them. You'll recommend an approach based on their level of understanding and interest, tailored to their specific needs.
  • You will help to promote MD products and services with clients and prospects, including "disengaged" clients.
  • You will be accountable for client contact preparation, documenting client notes in our CRM tool and identifying new business opportunities through the proactive mining of your book of business. You will also gather and input financial data resulting from client discovery conversations.
  • You will lead the collection of deficient Know Your Client (KYC) information on newly assigned and existing accounts, ensuring orders are suitable vis a vis client objectives
  • You will identify and develop new business opportunities to prospect and grow the client base, while ensuring retention of clients through trusted relationships and servicing your client book.
  • You will seek out new opportunities through the active mining of your book of business.
  • The Must Haves:

  • University degree in business, commerce or equivalent.
  • IIROC licensed as a Registered Representative (IIROC-RR) including completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) and 90-day training.
  • Life License (LLQP) and a willingness to complete other regulatory requirements. Completion of the Group Annuity Sector (PQPAV) (Quebec offices only).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of investment products.
  • Proficiency in Canada's two official languages is required.

    Ce poste vous convient-il? Pour ce poste, vous devrez :

    • Établir des rapports et des relations de confiance avec les clients de MD grâce à une écoute active et en reconnaissant ce qui est important pour eux. Vous leur recommanderez une approche basée sur leur niveau de compréhension et d'intérêt et adaptée à leurs besoins particuliers.

    • Contribuer à la promotion des produits et services de MD auprès des clients actuels et potentiels, y compris les clients désengagés.

    • Préparer les communications avec les clients, consigner les notes sur les clients dans notre outil de gestion des relations avec la clientèle et cerner les nouvelles occasions d'affaires grâce à l'exploitation proactive de votre portefeuille de clients. Vous recueillerez et saisirez également des données financières découlant de vos entretiens exploratoires avec les clients.

    • Diriger la collecte des renseignements Connaître son client (CSC) manquants pour vos nouveaux comptes et vos comptes existants, en veillant à ce que les ordres soient adaptés aux objectifs du client.

    • Repérer et développer de nouvelles occasions d'affaires pour prospecter et faire croître la clientèle, tout en assurant la fidélisation des clients grâce à des relations de confiance et au service offert à votre portefeuille de clients.

    • Chercher de nouvelles occasions grâce à l'exploitation active de votre portefeuille de clients.

    Compétences requises :

    • Diplôme universitaire en affaires, en commerce ou l'équivalent.

    • Inscription auprès de l'OCRCVM à titre de représentant inscrit (OCRCVM-RI), réussite du Cours sur le commerce des valeurs mobilières au Canada (CCVM), du Cours relatif au Manuel sur les normes de conduite (MNC) et d'une formation de 90 jours.

    • Permis en assurance de personnes (PQAP) et volonté de satisfaire à d'autres exigences réglementaires. Permis dans la catégorie des régimes de rentes collectives (PQPAV, bureaux du Québec seulement).

    • Connaissance avérée des produits de placement.

    • La maîtrise des deux langues officielles du Canada est exigée.

    • Vous avez la confiance en vous et la confiance à l'égard des produits de MD qu'il faut pour convaincre le client.
