    Description
    Randstad Staffing is currently looking for a Payroll and Benefits Specialist for a great company in Winnipeg.

    Do you have a minimum of 2 years of experience managing inter-provincial payroll and benefits?
    Are you able to work well independently, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment?
    Possessing a sense of urgency, excellent time management, and a penchant for working with numbers—do these describe you?
    Do you bring experience with ADP, Payworks, and impressive Excel skills to the table?
    Are you equipped with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities?

    Responsibilities

    • Managing and processing employee payroll accurately and in a timely manner
    • Ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations related to payroll and benefits
    • Administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
    • Handling payrollrelated inquiries from employees and addressing any issues that may arise
    • Collaborating with HR to update and maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy of payroll data
    • Staying informed about changes in tax laws, labor regulations, and other relevant legislation
    • Processing and reconciling payroll reports, including deductions, overtime, and bonuses
    • Assisting in the preparation and distribution of annual tax forms, such as T4s
    • Collaborating with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
    • Utilizing payroll software and systems and staying updated on industry best practices and technologies
    Qualifications

    • Postsecondary education
    • PCP certification will be considered an asset
    • Ability to work well independently and under minimal supervision
    • Ability to take initiative and be a good problem solver
    • Must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a payroll and benefits role
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail
