    Manning Elliott LLP is a CPA firm with offices located in Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, and Abbotsford British Columbia, Canada. We provide personalized accounting and business advisory services to companies operating within a wide range of industries in seven major practice areas: Tax, Private Company, Public Company, NPOs, Business Advisory, Valuations and Specialty.

    Since our formation in 1952, Manning Elliott has experienced tremendous growth and development. Our firm consists of 200+ dedicated CPAs and business advisors with years of experience and success.

    Purpose of Role

    Provide superb team member experience when dealing with the IT department. This role will focus on providing advanced expertise in back-end knowledge of the firm's software, integration, and development across multiple platforms. Responsibilities include offering comprehensive support for these platforms in both the office and remote locations.

    Reports to: IT Director

    Responsibilities

    • Working and managing the firm's software and integration of software amongst different software platforms
    • Integrating different data sets to achieve the firms operational and business requirements
    • Working with managing third party vendors for integration and deployment of new software and features
    • Developing and maintaining software and integrations for the firm's different platforms Working on different aspects of automation, scripts and programs to further the firm and IT departments efficiency
    • Working with other team members for escalation and training
    • Maintains a service level for firm's user base through use of ITSM systems, processes, procedures and policies
    • The ability to respond to critical emergencies when applicable
    • Writing documentation including SOW, SOP, diagrams, build documentation, KB, checklists, workflows, project documentation
    • Onsite support when scheduled at the firm's offices across the lower mainland as needed
    • Promotes the organizations quality control standards
    • Participate in the organizations team development and performance management program
    • Actively supports and participates in firm wide initiatives

    Qualifications

    • Basic Knowledge of systems infrastructure:

    o Microsoft servers, Active directory, Group policies, PowerShell, Exchange, Azure, Office 365, SQL

    o IT security principals

    o Understanding of desktop and server operating systems

    • Minimum 3 years of Software integration and development skills:

    o Efficient programming skills that relate to code development, integration between applications, maintenance and implementation

    o Working with API technologies such as Rest, RPC, SOAP

    o Management of databases and data across different types of databases and various data sets primarily in Microsoft SQL

    o .NET, Java, C++, Python, PHP and other platforms

    o Use of a code tracking, versioning and bug tracking software

    o Power shell, bash, visual basics, XML, JSON and other scripting

    o Software level technologies such as excel and word macros

    o Microsoft SQL and MySQL

    o Creation of templates and other in software features

    • IT support roles supporting team members remotely and in-person
    • Knowledge of ITIL change management methodology and/or industry best practices
    • Previous use of any commercial ITSM based ticketing system such as ConnectWise
    • Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving ability
    • Ability to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization
    • Strong knowledge of software design and concepts
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    • Strong documentation skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
    • Knowledge of financial applications will be a big asset
    • Microsoft developer certifications are an asset

    What We Offer:

    The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $140,000. Individual salaries within this range will be dependent upon skills, experience, and qualifications.
