    Job Title: Project Coordinator

    Our client is currently seeking a project coordinator for a permanent job opportunity based out of Woodstock, Ontario

Our success is driven by our talented team, and we are currently seeking a dedicated Coordinator/Project Manager to join our dynamic team.

    Job Summary:

    As a Coordinator/Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in our bridge construction projects. This position is a unique blend of estimating and project coordination responsibilities, with an emphasis on providing accurate cost estimates for projects. You will be responsible for estimating project costs, managing project budgets, and ensuring seamless project execution.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Estimating (40% of Time):

    • Conduct detailed cost estimation for bridge construction projects, including material costs, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
    • Prepare and submit comprehensive project proposals and bids in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to analyze project specifications and develop accurate estimates.
    • Continuously update and refine estimating databases to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and cost factors that may impact project pricing.
    • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
    • Evaluate and manage risks associated with project costs and provide recommendations to mitigate them.

    Project Coordination (60% of Time):

    • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of bridge construction projects from initiation to completion.
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.
    • Communicate project progress and key milestones to clients and stakeholders.
    • Monitor and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and identifying areas for cost optimization.
    • Resolve project issues and conflicts promptly to maintain project progress and client satisfaction.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout project execution.

    Qualifications:

    • Must have bridge construction experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
    • Proven experience in bridge construction estimating and project coordination.
    • Strong proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and budget management.
    • Knowledge of local construction regulations and industry standards.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
