    The Director, Pharmacy Operations, Edmonton will oversee the operations of Pharmacies in their respective region.

    Their role is to coach, develop and train pharmacy teams and actively drive the success of the pharmacy while ensuring a safe and effective pharmacy practice that provides exceptional patient care.

    The Director, Pharmacy Operations must have a passion for the business, solid operational experience and a desire to make a difference by helping colleagues to develop their skills, build accountability, drive results and provide a positive customer experience.

    Act as a liaison facilitating effective collaboration and communication with key stakeholders and ensure that national pharmacy standards and processes are implemented and sustained
    Partner with Pharmacy Teams to share insights into the competitive landscape (market share, volumes, programs, promotions, pharmacy talent)
    Monitor and review weekly projections and store labour management process with Pharmacy Manager to ensure proper allocation of hours and task management
    Execute business initiatives and ensure Pharmacies are equipped and prepared to implement, identifying any gaps and reporting back to the program administrator
    Build relationships and partner with stakeholders, such as District Managers and Store Managers/Franchisees, to ensure appropriate knowledge and understanding of business initiatives and important pharmacy items
    Work closely with the Store Manager/Franchisee/Labour Relations partner when dealing with disciplinary matters or other matters related to unionized colleagues, leveraging Pharmacy Manager to partner with counterparts as appropriate
    Collaborate with HR partner to actively build and manage talent, addressing underperforming colleagues, and participating in the recruitment process through interviews and identifying suitable candidates
    Support new pharmacy manager training and regularly follows up during the applicable probationary period and thereafter to ensure a successful onboarding
    Maintain budget shrink initiatives, manage returns and credits to suppliers, transmittals, inventory, third party and detailed follow-up of dispensary operations
    Ensure compliance with provincial and federal pharmacy regulations as well as standard operating procedures and policies
    Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy (or equivalent) considered an asset
    ~3-7 years of progressive, management related experience
    ~ Solid understanding of Pharmacy landscape and retail industry
    ~ Strong interpersonal and people management skills; Demonstrated skills in relationship building and influencing to achieve results
    ~ Regular travel is required, often requiring overnight stays
