    About the role
    Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-timeSenior Performance Marketing Manager to join our dynamic Marketing & Partnership Development team.

    The Marketing & Partnership Development team is responsible for supporting the marketing requirements and for executing corporate strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for developing creative programs, plans, content and services that supports the execution of Canadian Blood Services' business goals as well as becoming a brand ambassador for the organization. You will provide strategic advice on the development of approaches and tactical plans to deliver on marketing objectives, incorporating various platforms/channels, advises leadership on marketing issues and leads the development of the marketing strategy, while ensuring accuracy and consistency of messages across the organization.

    As the Senior Performance Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for driving development and execution of growth strategies for all product lines/brand across all marketing channels. You will report directly to the Associate Director, Marketing Strategy and Activation. This position is best suited for an individual who has worked in both offline and online marketing acquisition and growth positions and who has a strong passion for taking on the challenge of combining channel performance data, behavioral insights, and media innovation into winning campaigns.

    Formula for success

    • Utilizing your skills in campaign development, you will lead the creation of paid campaign strategies aligning with the business's overarching goals and objectives.
    • Applying your expertise in analysis, you will play a pivotal role in measuring and visualizing marketing results, optimizing campaigns to convert leads, and maximizing spending efficiency.
    • Drawing on your ability to identify opportunities, you will spearhead the discovery of avenues for growth and the enhancement of marketing initiatives across offline and online channels.
    • Employing your proficiency in data analysis, you will derive optimization plans by thoroughly analyzing extensive datasets and information.
    • Harnessing your collaborative prowess, you will work with integrated department teams to develop and execute campaign and program budgets, aiming for an expected ROI while exceeding program objectives.
    • Leveraging your leadership skills, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and oversee a small group of direct reports, guiding them towards achieving growth and success by setting individual goals, providing clear direction, and offering regular feedback to support their skill development.

    Desired education and skills

    • Post secondary education in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution is required, preferably in a business-related discipline, for example, Marketing, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or any other related field.
    • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in marketing or sales, preferably working as a Performance Marketing Manager in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Experience with lead nurturing, email marketing, web analytics, and marketing automation.
    • Experience in Display, Paid Social, Paid Search, and programmatic is strongly preferred. As well as experience conducting data-driven tracking for campaign performance and providing insight to stakeholders.
    • Proficient working with Google Analytics, Adwords tools and social media advertising platforms, for example, TikTok Facebook, and Instagram.
    • Proficient in Ms Excel, Ms Word, and PowerPoint and other online marketing channels and interactions such as CRM, SEO, and SEM.
    • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines when working on multiple projects and stay composed in stressful or uncertain situations.

    What you can expect

    • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
    • You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
    • If you are located outside of Ottawa, you may be expected to travel to our head office location in Ottawa – 1800 Alta Vista Dr, quarterly for in-person team meetings when required.
