    Under the direction of the Coordinator, Representation Section, the Senior Grievance and Adjudication Analyst takes on a leadership role on the analysis of the merits of the PSAC's grievances.
    Significant knowledge and experience in the field of labour relations with progressive responsibility in the application of labour law in the interpreting of collective agreements and legal texts.
    Significant knowledge and understanding of the practices and principles of the labour movement, including arbitral jurisprudence, job content and classification principles, and human rights principles.
    The ability to research case law, interview witnesses from various backgrounds and the ability to impart to others the meaning and effect of the language and construction of statutes, regulations and collective agreements.
    The ability to communicate orally and in writing at a high level in English or French or in both official languages (according to the position's requirements).
    The ability to understand, influence and serve the membership of a union and an understanding and commitment to trade union and equity principles and social activism.

    QUALITÉS REQUISES
    Connaissance approfondie et expérience dans le domaine des relations de travail acquises en s'acquittant de responsabilités croissantes relativement à l'application du droit du travail et à l'interprétation de conventions collectives et de textes juridiques.
    Connaissance approfondie et compréhension des pratiques et des principes du mouvement syndical, plus particulièrement de la jurisprudence arbitrale, des principes régissant la nature du travail et la classification ainsi que des principes relatifs aux droits de la personne.
    Capacité de planifier, d'organiser et de coordonner la préparation de divers cas dans un environnement de travail dynamique et en constante évolution qui requiert un esprit d'analyse et une pensée logique pour trouver des solutions aux problèmes.
    Très grande aptitude à communiquer verbalement et par écrit, en français ou en anglais, ou dans les deux langues (selon les exigences linguistiques du poste.
    Capacité de comprendre et d'influencer les membres d'un syndicat et de répondre à leurs besoins, de même que compréhension des principes syndicaux et d'équité et du militantisme social, et adhésion à ces principes.
