    Description

    Brampton Caledon Community Living (BCCL), a recognized leader in developmental services and a non-profit organization that supports and empowers people to lead enriched and meaningful lives, is seeking a Property Manager to manage its properties in accordance with its values, policies and procedures and municipal and provincial regulations.

    Reporting to the Directors of Community Living Supports, the Property Manager will:
    Scope, negotiate and manage projects including, but not limited to, building additions, accessibility design, renovations and repairs for properties operated by BCCL;
    Ensure compliance with building and fire codes and other relevant municipal and provincial regulations, including Quality Assurance Measures;
    Identify and repair maintenance needs in consultation with directors and managers, ensure safe, secure, and well-maintained, attractive buildings, grounds and equipment;
    Negotiate and secure competitive pricing and best-value-for-dollar quotes for projects, materials, supplies, or equipment;
    Schedule and monitor the work of contractors; ensure quality workmanship and compliance with contract terms;
    Direct and supervise the handyperson to attend to maintenance and repair needs;
    Maintain a list of prospective projects and an inventory of capital assets and large purchases, equipment, material and supplies; Conduct ongoing, proactive, property maintenance programs; ensure health and safety requirements of BCCL properties; re-certify fire extinguishers, ensure air-conditioning, furnace and water heater maintenance, conduct a safety inspection
    Attend to issues and complaints in a timely, effective and professional manner.

    Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or certificate in Project Management, Property or Facilities management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations, Ontario Building Code and Fire Codes, and Ontario Construction Act and standard forms of contracts.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based service management systems.
    Extended Health Insurance Plan (including spouse and children)
    ~ Retirement saving plan with company match.
    ~ 10 Statutory holidays, one personal day and paid sick days.

    Valid Class G driver's license, current driver's abstract and reliable car are required.
    Ability to work flexible hours; Fluency in French is an asset.
