    Working under the direction of the Assistant to the Dean of Students, Residence Administration, the Residence Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating day-to-day front-line services assisting with the admissions process for the residence for fall/winter and summer, providing administrative support to the residence and directing the work of the casual front desk staff.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
    • Resolving issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required
    • Scheduling appointments
    • Booking rooms and arranging appropriate accommodations
    • Making minor purchases
    • Directing the activities of casual staff

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
    • Minimum three years of recent and related experience in providing administrative and financial processing support to a residential setting in a University.
    • Demonstrated experience providing exceptional student service, with an understanding of student-centred anti-oppressive framework
    • Experience maintaining student records.
    • Demonstrated experience with overseeing a busy administrative office , with the ability to lead and motivate.
    • Experience determining and coordinating the logistical details of events.
    • Experience preparing expense reimbursements.
    • Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
    • Excellent attention to details while completing competing task.
    • Demonstrated understanding and experience of a student-centered, anti-oppressive framwork.
    • Abiltiy to attend to detail and prioritize own workflow to complete task.
    • Ability to strictly adhere to confidentiality an privacy practices.
    • Ability to interpret and apply practice and procedures effectively, and converse cooperatively with the student, staff and the public.
