    General Responsibilities

    Social Media Marketing

    • Establish and implement an engaging social media strategy that elevates the ventureLAB brand, including developing social media calendars and content aligned with the ventureLAB voice and tone
    • Write and design optimized social media messaging and imagery
    • Set up and ongoing management of all social media
    • Research and benchmark against competitors to develop competitive edge and provide recommendations based on strategic insights and learnings
    • Monitors ventureLAB mentions across social media and other media channels for increased engagement with all audiences

    Email Marketing

    • Develop email marketing strategy toincrease the attribution and performance of the external ventureLAB Newsletter
    • Measure and analyze campaign results (A/B testing, CTR, Open Rate, Out-Out/bounces/unsubscribes)
    • Develop annual email marketing calendar informed by editorial and promotional calendars
    • Create and schedule emails on a weekly basis following the ventureLAB internal editorial calendar

    Performance Marketing

    • Monitor and report on the performance and effectiveness of marketing campaigns against ROI, KPI's and other business objectives and goals, and make recommendations to improve campaign performance
    • Bring data-driven insights and results into cross-department conversations for planning optimal campaigns and marketing activations and make recommendations for improvements

    Brand & Design

    • Create eye-catching graphics and imagery aligned with the ventureLAB brand for external marketing purposes and internal ventureLAB branded efforts
    • Create and produce engaging video content aligned with the ventureLAB brand for external and internal marketing and communicative purposes eg. award receptions, social media, etc.
    • Manage and protect the integrity of the brand by acting as a gatekeeper for corporate imagery, brand tone and voice in the social social
    • Updating the website including graphics, content and general maintenance

    Essential Skills and Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in a digital marketing role
    • A degree or diploma in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising or a related program is an asset
    • Experience with managing social media channels and creating original, dynamic content
    • Experience with Sprout Social, HubSpot, and Canva preferred
    • Experience with Webflow preferred (knowledge of basic HTML or Wordpress an asset)
    • Experience with Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Builder, Google Ads, an asset
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Team-oriented attitude and drive to learn and grow
