    This is an interview position.GENERAL SUMMARYProvide oversight to the development, implementation and application of people policies and/or programs to ensure the prevention of injuries and accidents in the workplace and ensuring the safety and well-being of all Canadian staff and assets in all workgroups across the region utilizing knowledge and involvement in Health & Safety.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
  • Accreditations/Certifications/Licenses (Preferred) : Board Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) certification – or equivalent or ability to successfully complete within 24 months of hire required
  • Minimum number of years required for entry to this job is 6 (Six) years in Health & Safety.
  • Standard Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point, Word, Excel
  • Solid knowledge / understanding of Part 2 of the Canadian Labour Code and all other related health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Behavioural Based Safety Program - (Preferred)
  • Strong project / time management and problem solving skills - (Preferred)
  • If the incumbent resides in the province of Quebec, they must be bilingual ( French and English).

Further, candidates will be assessed through careful consideration of: 1) their current driver's abstract; 2) their performance during application interviews; and 3) their performance on any driver competency assessments administered
