    Team & Job Overview

    As the Content Operations Manager, the successful candidate will work within an agile marketing team to deliver the Content Operations strategy and roadmap.The Content Operations Manager will have a proven track record in managing content operations and will be responsible for EDC's content lifecycle management processes from ideation to publishing.

    The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of content marketing strategies and technologies.

    Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the day-to-day management of our content operations, ensuring smooth execution of content strategies.
  • Maintains the content calendar and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Works closely with the Content COE Program Owner to establish each Content Ops Initiative's business value, communication and internal stakeholder outreach as necessary
  • Maintains and communicates EDC's content lifecycle management framework (for Content COE).
  • Participates in the content preparation process (prepares copy decks, image resizing, video editing)
  • Ensures the adherence to existing templates andparticipates in the establishment of new templates
  • Participates in content updating and optimization based on best practices, analytics data, CX feedback etc
  • Leads in the identification of technology requirements, sourcing and implementation, including training.
  • Leads the weekly Content Operations meeting.
  • Identifies reporting needs and KPIs, works with Analytics team to build and deploy analytics dashboards, define approach to reporting communication/sharing reports
  • Ensures Content COE and content producers have access to training to develop quality content (i.e. SEO training, editorial guidelines, best practices)
  • Collaborates on the development of EDC's Content Tagging approach and leads in the selection and incorporation into EDC's content development process.

    • Screening Criteria:

  • Undergraduate Degree in a related field such as marketing, public relations, communications or journalism.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in content operations/production
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), Analytics, and project management software.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and practices
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Significant SEO knowledge
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools for content creation and a keen interest in leveraging AI technologies to enhance content marketing operations.

  • Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies

  • Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
  • This role may be performed from EDC's headquarters in Ottawa or our community hubs in Montreal or Toronto

    • Salary Range:

  • Marketing Generalist 17: Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $81,012- $108,017 plus a performance-based incentive
