THE CANADIAN REPORT (WED MAR 23/22) Watched a little bit of the US Supreme Court nomination sitcom yesterday. This is one of them shitshows where all the so-called high profile Republicans get to make complete fools of themselves by asking an intelligent person to answer stupid questions. This, of course, was led by ex-Canadian (thankfully, | might add). Ted ‘Theodore’ Cruz, who really is doin’ his bitin the running for most despicable human being in America, right up there with old Donny Boy. Then there was the little guy whose names got switched around, Rand Paul, who really appears to be jealous of Ted Cruz's rep. You can recognize him easily by the curly locks he sports. Always looks like he just got out of the shower. Always tries to sound important when he’s sayin’ nothng special. And finally, rounding out the three stooges we had good old Lyndsey Graham, who appears to get up on a different side of the bed every day. He got so pissed about things that he just walked out. It woulda been as entertaining as all get out if it weren't for the fact that these people are holding a high office and actually have to make decisions affecting the country. Lord thunderin’ Jesus! Anyway, this nominee lady, Katanje Brown Jackson, she just sat there cool as a cucumber while all these loony toons were up there trying to sound important but only succeeding in makin’ me laugh my arse off. It's not likely she'll get the gig, because she’s got a few things going against her vis a vis the Republican party. She's black of course. She's got one of those names that most Republicans will have trouble spelling & pronouncing. She's smart and experienced. And, of course, she’s Biden's nominee, which means she'll be hard to bribe on all the regressive issues those Republicans love so much.
