WHY | DON'T REVIEW
NETWORK TV ANY MORE.

1 used to have this life that network TV played a big
part in. Most of our evenings were built around
going down into the basement TV room where
Heather could work on her crafts and | could surf on
my Ipad and we would both watch whatever we had
recorded from the night before

Then | got sick and had to have surgery. While |
was recuperating | had Bell Fibe on my Ipad, and
each evening | would cruise around the directory
looking for something to watch

This is when | started to realize that the vast
majority of stuff on TV was pretty much re-runs of
shows | was already tired of watching or mindless
crap. Reality shows. Talent shows. Contest shows.
Game shows. Talk shows. Unfunny comedy shows.
Hackneyed drama shows

It really felt like TV had just gone to hell

So last week we reduced our channel selection on
Fibe to the bare mimimum. | will watch the odd
football or baskeball game, and Heather and |
continue to watch Jeopardy every night. But that's
about it.

We have tons of good stuff to watch on the
streamers, (Netflix, Prime, Disney & Acorn) and that's
really all 1 do and only for an hour or two a day if
that. The rest of the free time | spend reading and
writing.

So if you've ever wondered by | don't review any
network TV, the reason is that I simply don’t watch it
any more.
