Sr. Manager, Enterprise (Data) Business Strategy & Architecture

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for a Sr. Consultant, Enterprise Business Strategy & Architecture with strong Stakeholder Collaboration and solid Business Process strategy alignment to be placed at our client, a Big Five Bank.

We have placed multiple people on this very team and have personally qualified the requirement with the hiring manager.

Client: Big Five Bank, Enterprise Business Strategy & Architecture

Terms: 6-12 month Contract to Hire (conversion to permanent FTE)

Location: Downtown Toronto, Hybrid, 1-2 days in office per week.

Project: Working with the CFO on an SAP finance transformation

Must-have requirements:

SAP (preferably with SAP Finance Modernization at a bank)
Consulting background with strong stakeholder collaboration
Financial Services/ Banking background who understands a regulatory environment
Previous financial transformation experience
Strategy alignment, capability development, relationship management, problem solving – liaison between technology and business
Architecture background
Data management, data governance background

Job Description:

As a Senior Manager on the Business Architecture team in Architecture, Data and Analytics (ADA), you'll report to a Senior Director, Business Architecture.

You will be part of an internal consulting project team that bridges strategy to execution, through work such as:

Helping our partners align on "north star" visions to inform what capabilities are needed for both today and the future
Creating roadmaps of needed strategic business and technology investments to realize business value / outcomes
Ensuring initiatives align with architecture patterns / will lead towards the target state

This work includes:

Helping to design operating models (development, analysis, impact assessment, etc.) required to deliver on business objectives?
Modeling and documenting business processes using a variety of tools and techniques depending on the specific need (e.g., client journeys, process mapping, etc.) ?
Doing independent research, analysis and benchmarking of both internal and external trends to determine new & potential business capabilities ?
Working with other technology teams to ensure projects impacting key capabilities are aligned to architecture patterns and standards, and leverage common solutions and services?
Contributing to the business architecture practice and how we work (methodology, templates, etc.)?
