    Position Description:

    The Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the administrative and financial operations of the OAREHRS department. This position involves managing the departmental budget, providing administrative support to the Associate Vice President, coordinating activities related to the AODA committee, and directing case requests within the OAREHRS mandate. The incumbent must have a solid understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and office administration while upholding the college's values and commitment to anti-racism, human rights, equity, and inclusion.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Works with the Associate Vice President, OAREHRS to develop the divisional budget and ensure fiscal responsibility.
    • Plans and oversees departmental purchases for optimum resource utilization.
    • Prepares quotes, contracts, and manages expenditures.
    • Acts as the Administrator of the office case management system and supports various administrative tasks.
    • Ensures compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
    • Coordinates AODA requirements and supports timely reporting.
    • Assists in year-end budget reconciliation and student recruitment.
    • Manages day-to-day office activities and supports staff onboarding.
    • Coordinates meetings and maintains schedules.
    • Performs other assigned duties.

    Educational and Experience Requirements:

    • Three-year Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business/Office Administration, or Human Resources.
    • Minimum five years of office administration and case handling experience preferred.
    • Experience in a unionized environment and with diverse employee groups is an asset.

    Skills and Attributes:

    • Budget management and financial analysis skills.
    • Proficiency in business and financial software.
    • Advanced MS Excel knowledge.
    • Organizational, analytical, and administrative abilities.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
