    The Field Evaluations Specialist supports CSA Group's account acquisition and growth by interfacing with clients, Account Managers, industry experts, and other personnel with quoting and project development, coordination, and execution. Must interact with clients to learn their needs and generate services in order to fulfill and exceed expectations.

    Responsibilities:

  • Development and Enhancement of Services. Must demonstrate an acute awareness of business development possibilities and work with clients and the CSA Group teams to construct and validate offerings.
  • Research. Will be required to research legislative and statutory requirements, related safety codes and standards, testing protocols, , and other information gathering activities as necessary.
  • Quotations. The Field Evaluations Specialist assesses client inquiries to determine our team's ability to complete the scope of the project and the required hours necessary to execute the testing and reporting. Must have sufficient experience and expertise to accurately predict timelines and labor.
  • Project management. The Technical Specialist coordinates with the Operational Teams to ensure technical aspects of testing meet strict quality measures. May assist with questions – from both the Operations team and the client, provide guidance, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues.
  • Workforce planning. Forecast future growth based on regional economic shifts and program development.
  • Technical Committees, Trade Shows. The FES will represent CSA Group at select trade shows and may participate in technical committees.
  • Travel. Some travel, ~10% of the time, will be necessary due to visits to clients and trade shows.
  • Qualifications:

  • College degree in a relevant technological discipline, and/or six or more years of work experience in the TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) or similar industry
  • Experience in technical writing, standards development or process development are strong assets
  • Established network within the TIC industry, focus on field services preferred
  • Knowledge of CSA Group, UL, NFPA, etc; experience with a variety of test procedures
  • Sales or Marketing experience is a plus
  • Mentoring skills. Strong problem-solving ability, detail oriented
  • Communication skills (verbal and written) excellent listening and retention skills
  • High level of initiative to meet or exceed targeted goals with minimal supervision
  • Ability to cope with unpredictable schedule, regular work interruptions, multiple deadlines and targeted goals
  • In California, the salary range for this position is $96, 000 - $115, 000 USD, however for more experienced candidates there will be flexibility outside of the stated range.

    In British Columbia, the salary range for this position is $98, 000 - $119, 000 CAD however for more experienced candidates there will be flexibility outside of the stated range.

Le spécialiste des évaluations sur le terrain évalue les demandes des clients pour déterminer la capacité de notre équipe à mener à bien la portée du projet et les heures requises pour exécuter les tests et les rapports. Doit avoir une expérience et une expertise suffisantes pour prévoir avec précision les délais et la main-d'œuvre. Gestion de projet. Le spécialiste technique se coordonne avec les équipes opérationnelles pour garantir que les aspects techniques des tests répondent à des mesures de qualité strictes. Peut répondre aux questions de l'équipe des opérations et du client, fournir des conseils, dépanner et résoudre les problèmes. La planification des effectifs. Prévoir la croissance future en fonction des changements économiques régionaux et du développement de programmes. Comités techniques, salons professionnels. La FES représentera le Groupe CSA lors de salons professionnels sélectionnés et pourra participer à des comités techniques. Voyage. Certains déplacements, environ 10 % du temps, seront nécessaires en raison des visites chez les clients et des salons professionnels. Qualifications: Diplôme collégial dans une discipline technologique pertinente et/ou six années ou plus d'expérience de travail dans le secteur TIC (Tests, Inspection et Certification) ou un secteur similaire. Une expérience en rédaction technique, en élaboration de normes ou en développement de processus est un atout majeur Réseau établi au sein de l'industrie des TIC, concentration privilégiée sur les services sur le terrain Connaissance du Groupe CSA, UL, NFPA, etc.; expérience avec une variété de procédures de test Une expérience en vente ou en marketing est un plus Compétences de mentorat. Forte capacité de résolution de problèmes, souci du détail Compétences en communication (verbale et écrite), excellentes capacités d'écoute et de rétention Haut niveau d'initiative pour atteindre ou dépasser les objectifs ciblés avec un minimum de supervision Capacité à faire face à un horaire imprévisible, à des interruptions de travail régulières, à des délais multiples et à des objectifs ciblés
