    We are currently looking for a Director, Health, Safety & Environment to join our team Professional development and training resources

    Inclusive and engaging work environment

    Provide strategic leadership and direction for the company's safety programs and initiatives in both Canada and the United States.

    Champion a culture of HSE excellence and out L.Collaborate with senior management and executive leadership to integrate safety practices into business operations

    Input to the career development and leadership of the Health and Safety team, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring


    Ensure compliance with local, provincial, state, federal, and international safety regulations and standards in both Canada and the United States.

    Risk Assessment


    Oversee thorough risk assessments and audits in both Canada and the United States to identify potential safety hazards and areas for improvement.

    Oversee corrective action plans to address identified risks in alignment with relevant regulations

    Analyze root causes and develop strategies to prevent recurrence, ensuring timely reporting and documentation of incidents in accordance with regulatory requirements in both jurisdictions


    Performance Measurement and Reporting:


    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and evaluate safety performance across the organization in both Canada and the United States.

    Provide regular reports and analysis to senior management and the Board of Directors to demonstrate progress and areas for improvement

    Training and Education

    Oversee the development and implementation of training programs for employees at all levels to enhance awareness, knowledge and skills in safety practices and procedures

    Collaborate internal stakeholders, including operational leaders, HR, HSE team, to integrate safety considerations into business processes, decision-making, and organizational culture

    Effectively communicate and coordinate safety issues/ dialogues with government agencies, medical representatives etc

    Ability to manage diverse teams in multiple locations throughout Canada and the United States

    Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization - Board, Executive Leadership team, Operations Management team, and staff

    Ability to identify risks, implement solutions, and measure compliance across the business

    In-depth understanding of Health and Safety policies and knowledge of relevant governmental regulations

    Proficiency in conducting analysis and reporting statistics

    Strong incident investigation skills and emergency management expertise

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

    10+ Years of a leadership role within the environment, health, and safety field

    Industrial, commercial construction, and facility services experience would be an asset

    Experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures and programs

    Frequent field travel and ability to be available outside of work hours may be required

    Valid passport and driver's license must be maintained
