    Job Title: Legal Accounting Clerk

    Job #: 16338

    Job Type: Full time, permanent

    Location: Toronto

    Salary: $70,000

    Client Profile

    Our client, a reputable Toronto firm is currently looking for an Accountant. This firm has an excellent culture and many career development opportunities.

    • Office conveniently located in Downtown Toronto

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Responsible for the full cycle accounting of the management company;

    Perform backup duties for the firm;

    Perform billing duties;

    Execute trust, cost sharing;

    Daily posting of accounts payable in PC Law;

    Prepare cheques and EFT payments;

    Certify cheques when required;

    Maintain database for accounting records;

    Post client receipts;

    Handle monthly bank reconciliations for general accounts;

    Prepare pre-bills and final client accounts; and

    Additional tasks as required.

    Requirements:

    1+ years of accounting experience in a law firm;

    Must have law firm experience;

    Accounting-related diploma or degree;

    Demonstrative experience of Month end and AP;

    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and Soluno;

    Knowledge of PC Law will be considered an asset;

    Simply accounting will be considered an asset;

    Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills; and

    Excellent written and verbal communication.
