DEEP WATER 2 SPUDS on Prime. PRIME BLURB: Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas star in a psychological thriller from director Adrian Lyne Deep Water takes us inside the marriage of picture-perfect Vic and Melinda Van Allen to dis- cover the dangerous mind games they play and what happens to the people that get caught up in them. MY TWO CENTS: Adrian Lyne, who directed this film has not really done much in the last 20 years or so. | was a big fan of his movies like Fatal Attrac- tion and Jacob's ladder. From what | read, he was living in France and trying to get movies made that just never really worked out. Interesting how that can happen to someone who was considered a very hot director up to that point. This movie is pretty much right up Mr Lyne’s alley. It's kinky and sexy and kind of dangerous. Ben Afflick is one of those guys who can do just about anything he’s asked to do. In this movie he’s asked to be a jaded husband who is married to a women who is trying her best to wring some real emotion out of him. She, of course, is morally bankrupt and he is wrapped up so tightly in his anger and frustration that, well, I'd be telling if went any farther. Deep Water is a a slow moving but very interest- ing psycho-sexual drama put together by someone who basically wrote the book on that genre.
