So here we go again, with a new scare and a new excuse
for big pharma to sell a whole lot of drugs to the govern-
ment. This time it's called monkey pox, and social media
sites were flooded with these gross-out pictures of all
these limbs with fairly good sized bumps on them. This shit
doesn't look like much fun but evidently it’s only passed
through physical contact, or at least that the story they're
goin’ with this week.
I'm personally getting sick of all this crap. Maybe it's
because | don’t get out as much as | used to and I'm in a
low risk group for a lot of things. But these plagues are
starting to feel like they are being manufactured to make
drug companies more money. Wouldn't that be a hoot if it
were true.
But | guess the biggest news goin’ right now is the fact
that women's rights in the United States have been set
back nearly a century, thanks to a bunch of Trump's
Supreme court appointees, who told the world that they
believed Roe v Wade was what they called ‘settled law’
and that they saw no reason to even think about changing
It
So not only do you have a Republican party that very
much appears to have gone off the deep end, you have
a Supreme Court, the highest court in the land, basically
paving the way for a whole lot of pain and suffering on the
part of American women.
What kind of country treats women that way? What
century are these judges living in? There's something
rotten in Denmark, and by Denmark, | really mean the
USA.
Other than that, there's not much to report. The Maple
Leaves got knocked out of the playoffs by a team from
Florida, of all places. But that hardly counts as news.
