    Job Description:
    beBee Professionals is seeking an experienced Legal Operations Manager to join our team in Edmonton, AB.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the legal department, including overseeing the legal team, managing legal projects, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.


    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal operations role, with a strong understanding of legal processes and procedures.

    The candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the legal department
    • Manage legal projects and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
    • Develop and implement legal policies and procedures
    • Monitor legal trends and developments
    • Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders
    • Manage external legal counsel
    • Prepare and review legal documents
    • Negotiate contracts
    • Manage legal budgets
    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
    • Provide legal training and education to internal stakeholders
    • Manage legal disputes
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Law or related field
    • 5+ years of experience in a legal operations role
    • Strong understanding of legal processes and procedures
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to think strategically and analytically
    • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
