    Reporting to the VP of Sales, Transportation, we are adding an innovative, driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to our team.

    You will generate leads through cold calls and emails, develop relationships with prospects in new and existing accounts, and nurture interest in our MacroPoint Visibility for Shippers, Descartes TMS, and Dock Appointment Scheduling through conversations to understand pain points and present our solutions as the best option.

    MacroPoint is the leading solution in the market with the largest connected carrier platform in the industry and is integrated with Descartes TMS and Dock Appointment Scheduling.

    Ultimately, you will help to boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.

    You have proven success in lead generation or sales, exceeding your quota and measurably growing your business.

    You have applied multiple sales techniques and approaches, including cold calls, email campaigns, and networking opportunities, to gain contacts in the market.

    The technical skills .

    You are comfortable using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Excel to track customer data and sales campaign progress.

    You can analyze sales performance metrics and pivot your approach based on results.

    You can confidently make presentations in-person or remotely to stakeholders at any level, overcoming objections and negotiating deal closures.

    You are extremely comfortable reaching out by phone.

    You thrive in an autonomous role, managing your time and your leads and connecting with the right people internally to grow your technical knowledge, shaping your approach to our vision.
