    The Opportunity:

    We are currently looking to hire a People & Culture Generalist in Edmonton, AB. This opportunity will be ideal for someone with a passion for developing their HR career through supporting initiatives aimed at building the current infrastructure for human resources capabilities and driving an inclusive and diverse workplace culture. The People & Culture Generalist will report directly to the Director, People & Culture.

    The People & Culture Generalist will be responsible for leading existing projects around organizational capability and competencies in the areas of employee onboarding and orientation, benefits administration, HRIS data tracking, compensation, and process improvement. There will also be an aspect of liasing with other teams to help with day-to-day employee relations and HR operations functions. This role will have a large emphasis on employee engagement and retention. The successful candidate will work alongside other People & Culture Team members in cultivating a corporate culture aligned with the organization's vision, mission, and core values.

This role requires a high level of initiative and the ability to thrive in a rapidly growing entrepreneurial organization.

    You possess the following education, experience, and skills:

    • Minimum of 3 years of progressive and diverse experience in the HR field including HRIS data entry, employee training and onboarding, employment document auditing, HR reporting, and other ad-hoc HR tasks.
    • Experience supporting special projects in HR areas such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, employee relations, and training and development.
    • Thorough working knowledge of the Alberta Employment Standards, Human Rights Act, and the Occupational Health and Safety legislation
    • Post-secondary education specializing in business, human resources, or a related field is required.
    • Working towards Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is preferred.
    • Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word) and HRIS systems.
