- Create reports focused on analyzing sales activity and trends
- Hire and develop a sales team based on market penetration / profitability requirements
- Provide ongoing sales training, coaching, and mentorship for Sales Reps
- Create targets for your sales team, providing ongoing coaching to attain results
- Use CRM system to monitor and actively manage sales pipeline metrics
- Work closely with business units to target large competitive accounts
- Identify and target complex/large accounts to be managed by the Sales Manager
- Visit customers with Sales Reps when appropriate and beneficial
- Ensure Sales Reps are focused on driving rental revenue for the business
- Liaise with manufacturers when directed by the General Manager
- Handle elevated customer concerns on behalf of the Sales department
- Stay informed about competitor activity where possible, including market strategies, product developments, and pricing formulas
- Proactively contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an outside sales role strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in sales
- Experienced and confident in cold calling and telephone marketing
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Superior Microsoft Office skills with experience using MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Access
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is an asset
- Ability to travel throughout the territory required
- Highly organized and a self-starter with strong time management skills
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license required
