    Description

    AV Support Technician (contract) Ottawa ON Ref: JOB2210

    Our Client, is a crown corporation that supports Canadian exporters and the growth of international trade and is currently undergoing a floor transition within the same building. They are in need of an experienced AV Technician and Support Specialist to facilitate the implementation and maintenance of critical audio-visual (AV) infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in deploying and supporting various AV technologies, including Teams Rooms, Brightsign systems, check-in kiosks, and marketing displays. This position requires a proactive individual with exceptional technical skills and a customer-centric approach.

    Key Responsibilities :

    Brightsign and MS Teams Rooms Implementation and Support :

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to lead the implementation of Brightsign systems across the organization.
    • Provide comprehensive support for both Brightsign software and hardware components.
    • Ensure the seamless operation of Brightsign systems post-implementation, addressing any technical issues that may arise.
    • Assist in the setup and configuration of MS Teams Rooms, ensuring optimal functionality.
    • Offer technical support for Teams Rooms, troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolutions.
    • Conduct training/education sessions for the IT team and other relevant stakeholders on the Brightsign platform and Teams Rooms functionality.
    • Develop comprehensive support documentation specific to Brightsign and Teams Rooms, tailored to the organization's needs.

    AV Deployment Assistance & AV Support :

    • Provide assistance in deploying AV equipment to support the floor transition project, ensuring timely setup and connectivity.
    • Collaborate with the team to ensure all AV installations meet quality standards and operational requirements.
    • Serve as a point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving AV-related inquiries from internal stakeholders.

    Requirements :

    • Proven experience in implementing and supporting Brightsign systems (or a similar digital signage system), including both software and hardware components.
    • Strong proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Teams Rooms setups.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to conduct effective educational sessions and create clear, concise support documentation.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, particularly during deployment projects.
    • Flexibility to provide general AV support beyond the initial floor transition phase.
    • Relevant IT certifications or qualifications
