    Description

    Through its subsidiaries, Superior Plus markets and distributes propane and natural gas, in both the U.Superior's Wholesale North American division, is a leading natural gas liquids wholesale marketing company providing secure supply/service solutions, transportation, storage, and risk management services.

    The risk team is looking for a 12-month temporary position.

    Reporting to the Supervisor, Commodity Risk, working as part of the Middle Office team, the Analyst, Risk will focus on commodity & FX market pricing/exposures for SGL's marketing activities.

    The position is largely an operational role responsible for performing day to day & month end risk reporting/compliance functions, in accordance with Superior's Risk Policy.

    Daily, monthly & quarterly risk reporting for SGL and other Superior divisions, as required
    Analyze and report key risk metrics including physical and financial exposures, using industry-applied risk methods, tools and metrics such as: Mark to Market (MtM), volumetric position limits, Value at Risk (VaR)

    Perform in-depth analysis of risk books and identify market drivers to ensure exposures generated by Front Office activities are modelled and captured accurately.

    Monitor compliance to Superior's Risk Management Policy
    An Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
    Studying toward CFA, Masters, or other risk designation considered an asset.
    Knowledge of Right Angle/ETRM system, considered an asset.
    This is a full-time role working two days within downtown Calgary office, with the remainder working from home. Working from home Policy could be subject to further changes.
