    Description
    Quality Supervisor

    The Quality Supervisor position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of a team of Quality Operators who check, test, and inspect raw materials, goods in process and finished products.

    In addition, monitor the performance of equipment and processes; Performance Expectations

    • Direct supervision of the quality inspectors and Gauge Technicians in the facility.
    • Develops, justifies and implements QA process improvements.
    • Compiles and analyzes test information to establish operating efficiency of process or equipment and to diagnose malfunctions.
    • Tests and analyzes sample products, and provide feedback and recommendations based on results.
    • Investigates complaints on existing products and coordinate with Quality Engineers in response to customer.
    • Establishes work procedures, prioritizes testing activities, and schedules quality personnel that may include outside inspection services.
    • Provides leadership, mentoring and supervision of Quality personnel.
    • Develops and recommends test procedures for products, raw materials and maintains test equipment.
    • Evaluate employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching and feedback methods. Maintain training matrix for inspection personnel.
    • Continuously improve performance based on the key performance indicators. Oversee the efficient implementation of quality standards, programs and processes to improve operational efficiencies and reduce production waste.
    • Participates in other facility teams and programs as needed.
    • Directs and advises personnel in special testing.
    • Ability to develop work schedules for quality personnel.
    • Develop and monitor detailed test plans, gauge plans, quality procedures and inspection requirements.
    • Assume a wide variety of roles to coordinate job tasks with junior workers, co-workers and subcontractors.
    ASQ Certification and or certificate in QA Program an asset.

    • Minimum five years experience in a quality or manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to use basic computer applications and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Able to understand testing and inspection requirements.
    Possess good communication skills to provide technical and process direction to Quality and Production personnel.

    • Ability to work independently to provide professional guidance and oversight to inspection tasks and projects.
    • Participate in continuously learning initiatives to keep up with new technologies, new products, new information and regulatory changes within industry.
    Community based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities.
