THE CANADIAN REPORT (October 28,2022 AD) Well, there hasn't been a lot to report on here in the Great White North. The Conservatives elected a new party leader who, of course, is about as far to the right as Attlila the Hun.And | believe he will find out the hard way is that it’s difficult at best to build a constituency from the lunatic fringe here in Canada. Just plain fewer lunatics. Of course the same can't be said for the USA. They've got lunatics to spare, and with their mid-terms coming up in about a week from now, they're out there, spreading lies and half truths, makin’ up all kinds of weird shit to rouse the oversized rabble crowd, and working real hard preachin’ the gospel of the anointed one, who shall remain nameless and hopefully be in prison soon. Trouble is that if they were to actually take a few minutes to look at what the Biden government has been able to achieve against astounding right wing resistance, you have to say to yourself, therse people are getting the government they need right now, but half of them are too brainwashed to actually realize it. Of course they won't do that and none of this is available on Fox news. In my never so humble opinion, the only way that coun- try doesn’t crash and burn from being totally lopsided is if the Dems actually win complete control of both the house and the senate. Otherwise, it's more tax breaks for the rich, higher prices, frozen wages and unaffordable medicine for everybody. Not a whole lot of stuff to look forward to. But, hey. if you're gonna be stupid about under- standing which side your bread is buttered on, maybe this will be a bit of an object lesson. A few people have told me | pick on the US a lot. And that’s true. But | do it because | have a fondness for that country that came from growing up on a border town where a lot of my mis-spent youth was mis-spent in OAmerica. But mostly | write about America because right now, it's being hoodwinked by a political ideology that has never really done that country any good.
