    Business Development Specialist – Marine Solutions

    Venor is proud to partner with East Coast Docks in their search for a Business Development Specialist to join their Marine Solutions team.

    East Coast Docks is a leading distributor of EZ Dock products in Eastern Canada, committed to providing innovative and sustainable marine solutions for the residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors from Ontario to Newfoundland.

    We specialize in offering high-quality dock systems designed for minimal maintenance and maximum enjoyment.

    Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Business Development Specialist will play a crucial role in developing strategic partnerships, engaging with clients, and leading initiatives that drive growth and innovation in marine infrastructure.

    This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about the marine industry and eager to manage and expand project opportunities.

    Identify and develop new business opportunities in the marine sector, focusing on EZ Dock products and solutions.
    Manage complex projects from conception through completion, ensuring alignment with client needs and company goals.
    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to enhance business growth and customer satisfaction.
    Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends and leverage insights for business development.
    Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and other events to promote East Coast Docks and forge new business connections.
    Participate in installation of systems from time to time.
    Proven experience in business development or project management, preferably in the marine or related industries.
    Strong understanding of the marine sector and its challenges, with a passion for waterfront improvement solutions.

    Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively at all business levels as well as effectively present solutions and negotiate with clients.

    Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to business challenges.

    Exceptional time management skills, with the capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.

    Technical knowledge of docking systems and marine equipment is an advantage.

    This role provides a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the marine industry and lead projects that cater to a diverse client base from recreational enthusiasts to professional marinas.

    Travel is an integral part of this job and will be required up to 30% of the time including some out of province travel for business development, industry trade shows, on site customer support, and time spent at East Coast Dock offices.
