    This is a remote position.

    Job Summary & Responsibilities

On the flip side, you understand that not everyone eats, sleeps, and breathes insurance and that most people are just trying to get last minute insurance for their new vehicle, save some money on their household budget, or check task off their list.     Our insurance team is looking for people like YOU. Not people who are tired of their job, who are grumpy, who don't like people, who can't mean deadlines, who are kind of shady, who make lots of mistakes or are stuck in their ways.     Requirements

    More About You

    • You have a post-secondary degree or diploma.
    • You have a strong interest in the insurance industry.
    • You posses a Level I or Level II General Insurance License, or a strong motivation to obtain one.
    • You are naturally inclined to take initiative independently; you are resourceful and like staying up-to-date.
    • You demonstrate an "other-focused" approach to people.
    • You possess better-than-average computer skills - your typing skills up there with the best of them
    • You can communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
    • You are detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task. You understand the significance of these skills.
    • You can work at a quick pace under pressure; possess time management skills.
    • You like people and are willing to serve them with a smile, even when conflict arises.
    • Assets include experience with Keal / Vertafore's BMS, Applied Rating Services, (Compuquote), and insurance company portals

    More About the Role

    • Sales and service. Attracting new clients and taking great care of the ones we already have.
    • Responding to client inquiries regarding insurance coverage, billing issues, claims, and certificates of insurance
    • Providing quotations for potential policy changes
    • Re-evaluating appropriate personal insurance coverages on existing lines of business
    • Processing renewals to ensure retention of existing client relationships
    • Entering and maintaining client information in the broker management system (Vertafore Sig)
    • Processing policy changes on insurance company portals
    • Provide support to sales staff as needed
    • Cross-selling other First Foundation services to clients
    • Answering and directing calls and emails to employees of the brokerage

    Requirements
    Level 1 or Level 2 AIC Licensed General Insurance role with First Foundation, offering great technical skill and customer service to work with a fast growing independent brokerage.
