    Description

    Position:
    Experienced Senior Accountant

    My client is a small accounting firm here in Winnipeg who is looking for a responsible team player that is looking for work life balance, has a keen attention to detail and enjoys a relaxed, jovial work environment.

    Coach and mentor other junior team members and students as they work through the CPA program.
    Responsible for audits, review and compilation engagements, and corporate tax preparation.
    Preparing audit quotes, meeting with audit committees, attending AGMs and the ability to sign off on audit engagements.
    Work with clients to prepare personal tax filings.
    Other special projects as agreed to and in the interest of the successful candidate.

    3+ years of experience in a Canadian public practice firm, including experience and training in assurance work and/or tax.

    ~ Experience in preparing Compilations, Review Engagements and Audits.
    ~ Experience in personal, corporate and estate tax returns.
    ~ TaxCycle (or similar tax software), QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Office, as well as time/billing software.
    ~ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and present a professional image in a business casual environment.
