3 SPUDS (CRAVE)

INTERWEB BLURB: Strike Back is a British/Ameri-
can action-adventure/spy-drama television series
based on the 2007 novel of the same name by
novelist and former Special Air Service soldier
Chris Ryan. The series follows the actions of Sec-
tion 20, a secretive branch of the British Secret
Intelligence Service, who operate several high
risk, priority missions around the world.

MY BLURB: | am re-watching the first two
seasons of this series, after which I lost track of
it but now the first 7 seasons, and | assume the
8th, are available on Crave TV.

The series, at least in the first season are divid-
ed up into two-episode stories, so you can treat
it as a movie.

The action and violence in the series makes a
lot of TV stuff look pretty mind by comparison.
But this is all about men of action who get into
messy situations that they basically have to shoo
their way out of. Ergo, these are very intense
shows to watch.

What's good about this series is not just the
heroics on display, but the story lines which
really shed some light on just how much actual
warfare is going on in the world, in small ways.

Phillip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton star
as an oddly matched British/American team that
lead the force. These guys are definitely the
hardest working actors in show business.
Because these shows are pretty much wall to
wall sex and violence.
